line blows off ,runs poorly

I have a 01 range 3.0L with 57k miles, today a line blew off the tube from the egr exhaust line reinstalled it started truck everything seemed ok drove off and it blew off again. It looks like it comes off the exhaust side of the egr, there is pressure coming out of the steel line. There are two lines next to each other the other one stays on, they go up into a box on the front of intake. truck is running like it is losing timing. though it could be pluged exhaust??

if an exhaust was that plugged where the backpressure would do that, the engine wouldn't run. Try clamping the hose down. Could be time to check the cat also.
