1st gen b16a work in 98 civic ex?

I was just wondering if the b16a code 1 block would work in my 98 civic ex. I was wanting to know before i attempt to build a motor that won't work in my car. i read a lot of stuff on this forum and it seems it will work, cept it seems that not many people put this one in a 96-00 civic. Any positives and negatives will help, persuade me to try a different motor i am just looking for one that i can custom build and will work well for my car. Thanks

It will work, you just need to convert over to obd0 I believe which would mean you need to get the wiring harness and ecu. I havent done one myself but know someone who has done it so I dont know what kind of problems there are after install.

I disagree with the converting over to obd0 since he has a 98, he's supposed to convert everything to OBD2. Injectors and distributor and a b16 obd2 ecu.
