every thing else works on the difgital dash . some times the speedometer will come on but for a short time then it will stay off for a month or so

my guess is that a wire is shorted out behind the dash
or gotten lose and making contact some of the time, pull the dash apart and take the cluster out and see if anything is visible from there

Happened on my '93. "You ain't gonna find nuthin' loose". I went to a boneyard and got another one for $175 only to find out that you can go to the dealer and send your old one out for repair for a flat fee of $175. The only difference is that you have to wait to get you old one back and on the boneyard one the odometer will go crazy at times unless you pay the dealer to reprogram it with your old mileage.

You will need to get one of the refab computers for your display off of ebay.

People swear by them.
