Replace Head Cylinder, headers, and cat exhaust

HEy i wanted to replace my Head cylinder, headers, and exauhst system on my 93 escort. I wanted to know if there are any extras i will need to buy such as wahers and stuff to install these compnents, or are they all just bolt on. Should i do any preperation before installing them?

to install a header on a '91 to '96 'scort 1.9, you will need to "relocate" the catalytic converter.

The header extends under the engine,so you would need to move the converter further back in the system, as it is connected directly to the manifold. A bit of fabrication is required. I've never installed one but it looks like the header should bolt right up to the remaining exhaust after you remove the cat and the pipe that extends under the engine. Someone who has installed one would know for sure. but if that's the case, depending on where you live, you could "relocate" the converter to a shelf in the garage...lolol
