A/C stop working

Hello to all, here i am, i like this forum is a great place for learn and resolve problems, this is my story my A/C stop working today.. i mean there is not cold air just air but not cold, i think the problem is the compressor is not activating i think.. the blower is working in all velocities from low to high.. just not cold air, the other day i notice that the compressor is turn in on and off by it self but the A/C still working doing that.. im a mechanic but in old cars like my 1979 Datsun 210, this car is new to me, i got a code scanner do i have to scan my Gran Caravan for any fault code or something.. i just need some advices from you guys.. if you see some errors in my typing sorry my english is not very well im From Puerto Rico, here is spanish only.. hope any one can help....

Various things acan affect the workings of A/C. One, the relay, then the switch which is located in the engine compartment that supplies the gas to circulate, the gas itself and the compressor.

well i check the compressor today and is working, one question where i can find the relay , in where in the engine compartment the switch is located.. i will check the relay and the switch.. other thing can be none gas in the system 134A..

a/c

sounds like your low on R134a. use gauges and add a can. Try to get the low side to at least 35psi. use a second can if necessary but stop at three

If the R134a is low, the sensors should prevent the compressor from cycling.

Hi, problem solved it was low gas in the system, my friend add gas and now if working better than before...
