Removal of hub for vibration damper...Help

Please Help! I need confirmation of which way the threads are on the crankshaft that mounts this piece of equipment, I cannot seem to move it (I know that the tightening torque is huge). I need to remove it so I can remove the lower timing chain cover as the pin holding the timing chain tensioner has sheared behind it. engine is M52, 523 SEi Auto 98'.
