1999 Ford Windstar No Rear Heat

wow! What a great form. Started out with no front heat, had the "thumping" noise more like a clicking noise in my case. I found the solution to the problem with the windstar very quickly, thanks to people like you. The blend door actuator had gone "belly-up". Which was described to the tee. Stopped at the dealer on the way home from work and picked up a new actuator, had step by step instruction on how to find and install a new one. Fix took under 1 hour. If i had to do it with out the help I am sure I would still be trying to get the radio out of the car. Not to mention finding where to look for the screws. Thank you mdnealy for the step by step instuctions, and break down of everything I needed. Only had to remove the radio, cup holders and ac/heater cotrols. Didnt disconect anything but the radio. Was able to get to the Actuator with out any snags!


P.S. I have a similar problem with the rear heat everything is working fine minus the heat. But I don't hear any unusual noises. It just will not blow hot air. Does anyone think this could be the actuator in the back that has gone bell up? The rear has been out for almost two years, never really felt the need to look too far into it. But if it is as easy to fix as the front I would like to fix it. If you have any help it would be most appreciated.
I have checked the anti-freeze level, It's normal. The line's leading to the back are heating up, feels very warm.

Any Idea's? First time post!
