Re: blower motor

Just had mine out of the car and couldn't figure how to remove the fan (blades). I needed to access the bushings so I straightened the 4 sets of tabs on the back and removed the motor housing. The fan may be pressed on as I didn't see any screw to hold it onto the shaft.

Typically fan motors have a snap ring holding the "Impeller" blades on. If it has one you will have to use a snap ring pliers and take it off. Then you sometimes have to support the impeller on something or have someone hold it while you use a hammer and a punch to tap the shaft out. be carefull not to drop the motor on something hard.

Re: blower motor

Just buy a used one with it all together. The fan blades normally dont come off easily. They are usually about 20 bucks at salvage yards.
