no power to dash
I have a 96 camaro. It started runing rough, wanting to stall. I pulled into gas station, got gas and then zero power to the dash. Battery is fine and all accesories work. When I turn the key on, no lights come on on the instrument panel. I disconnected the battery and cleaned the posts. When I hooked the battery back up the alarm went off. I put the key in and turned the ignition on thinking that would silence the alarm. The alarm continued to go off. It's like the ignition and instrument panel lost power. Help.

Re: no power to dash
I Have Had The Same Problem In My Firebird It Was A Relay Under My Dash On The Right Hand Side Higher Than You Would Think Anything Like That Would Be Located Under Your Dash. I Dont Know If This Will Help But...

Re: no power to dash
On the 3rd gen Camaro's there is an inline fuse near your battery in a plastic/rubber cover. Removing the fuse will disable your alarm system. Not sure a '96 has one though.
