What's up all?
I installed the set of Thorley Tri-Y Headers I got last night and man am I impressed. (Previous Post = I bought them off a guy that had them originally, Headers, Y-pipe, High Flow Cat, he never got around to putting them on. He sold me everything for $275, his loss was definatly my gain.) Installation was a peice of cake, no problems. However I also used my buddies shop so I had Air, Lift, and every tool ever needed. Only took about 2 1/2 hours start to finish. Everything bolted together as it should. Really nice system. Big power gain right off the bat not so much off the line but if I'm going 20-40mph and romp on it WOW!!!!!!! Plus a much better sound! So i decided to add some extras into the mix. Got a MSD Blaster Coil, Hypertech Power Charger (Cut the bottom of the Air cleaner to fit), MSD Super Conductor wires, Flex Fan and a 180* Stat. A little noticable power increase from all that but not a whole lot, headers helped out the most. However the Rig feels as if it is running stronger than ever. Well, just figured I'd post my experiance for every one always looking for mods on a TBI 5.7. What to get it dynoed but the shop by me can't do it untill spring, plus the want $150 for the firt pull. Doesn't that sound high? Talk to you guys later. 1995 GMC Z71 Reg Cab, Stepside Removed Air Silencer K&N Filter Hypertech Power Charger Injector Pod Spacer MSD Blaster Coil MSD Super Conductor Wires Flex-A-Lite Flex Fan 180* Stat Thorley Tri-Y Headers High Flow Converter 2 1/4" Cat Back Duals, Glasspack Muffler that was on it when I bought *Coming Soon* March Pulley Set TBI Spacer Ultimate TBI Mod Adjustable Fuel Pressure Reg Flowmaster Super 40 Seires into 3" Duals Custom Chip "Have you pulled out a Ford Latley" |
