Blaupunkt Heidelburg

anyone have any experience with this head unit? i screwed up the 2000 HU i put in..dont know what the hell happened...now i am back to my 6 disc changer and cd-less HU and i lost the bolts to the changer so i only have the radio....so my income tax is going to a new head unit. my girlfriend has a blaupunkt florida in her civic. i am pleased with their products. I'm drawn to the Heidelburg because of its blue display and and black face. that way it resembles stock and goes along with my accessory color of blue...(main color...white) just wanted to know if anyone had any opinions on it. oh and sparq. how much could iget one of these for.....or do you only do e-mails on prices....i forget.

Nice headunits, I just hate the internal amps on the blaus -- they seem to get hot, but if you arent looking for super high quality anyways it dont matter

it is [email protected] right? i'll have to try it again, what were you sayin bout the pre-amps? could you give me some info on that?

No, its [email protected] -- other address I cant get to while im in Florida. Also, I didnt say anything about the pre-amps I was talking about the actual internal amp that pushes sound to your speakers -- they usually run a little hot, but, your normal daily driving car shouldnt matter.

oh ok...thanx......my girlfrend has a blau. in her car...as i mentioned. and she had been wondering why it would run hotter than her factory HU and i guess thats why...thanx a lot..

Yup, its just the internal amp used to make the power to the speakers -- of course she could always get an aftermarket amp to push her speakers and then she wouldnt have to worry about t hat
