i just upgraded my bov to the Greddy type-s and the intercooler piping was also upgraded. After installing both i made sure to check that everthing was connected right. I took the car for a test run and it wouldn't boost over 5 psi.
What could be causing the problem? Also, the elbow to the intake manifold was very hot. thnx for the help in advance

Re: Boosting Problems...Help Needed
boost leak. make the tester on vfaq.com and check for leaks. my guess is that either the bov floange or the intake pipeconnections are leaking. did the bov have a gasket for the flange?

Re: Boosting Problems...Help Needed
Yes the bov does have a gasket.
But, would a boost leak cause the elbow to the intake manifold to get really hot?

Re: Boosting Problems...Help Needed
it could depending on where the leak is. if its at the throttle body then the air being pushed out there could heat it up. since the turbo still managed to get 5 psi with a leak that means it was definately pushing much more air then usual. more air leaking out means more heat.
