2nd Gear Grinds

When I shift from first to second, it grinds. Anybody have any clues on what it could be? I have a '94 SL. Thanks in advance.

Re: 2nd Gear Grinds

No, if I shift slow (and I mean slooooow), I can get it in without it grinding. It's just that I piss people off on the road when I do that but yeah, I still do it anyways. Hehe But yeah, Igovert500, is it a major problem that needs to be fixed right away or can it wait? How much will it be to fix it? And how complicated will it be?

Oh yeah, and what are you guys doing home on a Friday night? I'm working on Advanced Calculus (yeah, it sucks balls)! :o/

Well my vr4 had a bad 2nd gear synchro. It was only bad though when I was racing and had to shift fast and was changing gears fast. Otherwise, it wasn't noticeable. I was gonna just wait for the transmission to go out on it and have a whole new one put in because it would have been covered under the warranty I had and I would have only had to pay 100$. They're kind of expensive to fix to.
