Funny sound, need help.

I have noticed a squeaking sound that seems to correspond with the spinning of my driver side rear wheel. When I brake, it stops, but sometimes when driving it starts squeaking again, especially noticeable at lower speeds. I have Integra rear disc brakes on my 00 Civic, and Im thinking it may just be warped rotors, could this be it (Ill most likely be getting new ones anyway)? Also, yesterday, when putting on new wheels, I noticed that the rear wheels dont seem to turn smoothly and freely, is this a symptom of warped rotors or is there something else wrong here? If anyone has any idea, please let me know.

If your pads are worn even wiithout having the brakes applied the clip to warn you of a low level may be riding the rotor, usually that is common.

How old are your rotors and pads and what is the weather like?

The rotors are from a 94 Integra, so Im guessing they are pretty old...I originally planned to replace them immediately, but Ive been procrastinating for some reason.

The pads were brand new when I did the swap, so they are only a few months old. Weather here has been fairly cold lately, with a little snow, would this somehow factor in?

xivera: I know, I should have just gotten new rotors like I planned, but I kinda shortcutted and tried to get by on these for a while. I just hope thats the problem, and not the hub bearing or piston siezing (These have all been suggested to me).
I think I will have to get in there this weekend if not sooner.

this might seem strange but check the clips that hold the pads in or whatever those things are. the same thing happened on my uncles car and when i checked it out the clip was touching the rotor and making this loud scraping noise. just get some pliers and pull it back away from the rotor and it should work

If your rotors are slightly warped and you have newer pads that you did not spray anti-squeal on before install the cold weather can cause that.
Also you know what extreme cold or cold weather does to parts, just as heat causes expansion, the cold causes the reverse. So brake pads which most of its makup is metallic, is going to make some noise. But there are many factors, probably in this case the rotors being the biggest culpret.

This is what I am hoping the worst case is. I have been asking around and have gotten a few possiblities (hub bearing, piston bore sieze, etc.)

Ill be going into surgery this weekend to see if I cant fix the problem myself, starting by replacing the rotors, putting some shims and molykote m77 on the pads, and hopefully my problems are solved. Thanks for the help guys.
