Toothpaste on Chrome
I've heard that toothpaste will bring the shine back into chrome. Would it be safe to use it on my 4Runner?

If it's safe enough for the enamel on your teeth than it will be fine on your chrome.
I have used Colgate white toothpaste on plastic to remove scratches. Anthony

well besides the home remedy of using toothpaste on your chrome....you could just go out and get yourself some chrome polish at the store. That stuff can do a heck of a job from stuff like dullness or rust.
