Preludes

Hey sup yall, i'm new to the prelude forum, since i had a change of heart with my '94 accord. i wanted somethin a lil lighter and a lil faster, so i opted for a '92 prelude si automatic, it's got 166k miles on it, but i'm gonna swap the tranny with a manual, and make some mods to it.
ok here's where i need yall's help. the guy said the pulley needs ta be changed cuz it has worn out bushings, and it's noticible since the belt is kinda worn out, he said it's an easy $50 fix, which he is gonna do. but i wanna know if u change the pulley does anything else have to be changed?? i mean the belt i know, but is that normal , bushings on a pully wearin out, never happened with my accord...and btw he's givin it to me for $2200, it's mint clean, so i guess that's a good price....well will be waitin on ur replies
thanx

Re: Preludes

Seems like unnecessary work and extra $$ to buy an automatic then swap in a manual. Why not just buy a Prelude with a manual transmission?

On topic:
Since you're gonna pull the engine apart anyway to change the pulley, you should change the water pump and timing belt (if the previous owner hasn't done that already). I don't know how normal it is for the bushings on a pulley to wear...it's probably the water pump that caused the belt to wear out (just a guess).
