Winter Problems
Just moved from SC to PA and my 240 is really hating it. Left it parked for a day while it snowed ...now it wont seem to hold a charge. Every time I let it sit over night its dead the next day. Woundering if this is maybe an Alternater problem. Starter is fine and never had this problem with it before the move. Any advice would great.

Re: Winter Problems
sounds like an alternator problem.. something might have happened on the drive there.. check your alternator charges, see how much voltage is moving.. also, check the belts.. if one is loose (the alternator belt) then it won't let the alternator function properly..

Re: Winter Problems
Thanks for the reply,
I look into that this weekend. Belts are good just had them replaced. But then that maybe the problem if they didnt tighten them well enough |

Re: Winter Problems
yeah my buddy had that problem with his celica.. he replaced the alternator but didn't put the pulley back on properly.. turns out he was driving around for 2 days with an alternator pulley that was dangling from the bolt.. what happened was he didn't put a washer on before the nut so nothing was being held in place.. just go over everything meticulously and you never know, it might be something simple..

Re: Winter Problems
Don't even need a new baterry, just stick your old one on a slow charge all night, it'll be as a good as new.

Re: Winter Problems
not necisarily (im no spelling b champ), if the battery cant hold a charge then its basically trash or needs to be refurbished. just unhook the battery every night when you know its fully charged. If its still dead when you hook it back up, the battery is done.
