4.6l engine swap
I have a 1995 MGM and would like to swap a 2002 MGM engine.
A direct swap is what I am asking. I know that the trans will bolt right on (or that is what I am told), the questions I have are: 1. will the engine mount direct fit? 2. will the engine elect. harness direct fit. 3. and if anyone has done this type of thing before. I seems to me that I can pick up a engine off of ebay for cheap that has only 5-15k miles and comes complete with all new(almost new) sensors, harness etc. for about the same cost it would be to just rebuild the motor and then all the new sensors harness etc. I say harness because I have snapped a couple of plugs here or there placing components. Any help, advice would be great. roger b. |

whats the matter with the old engine if its just a few plugs ( or connecters i think u mean ) then just go to the junk yard and cut the old off and replace them with ones from a 95 ls or gs which ever u have

Re: 4.6l engine swap
I would like to get the power and the gas milliage back, and i realy love my mgm. I want to start fixing all the little things that a 145k car has on it.
