Tachometer, Fuel gauge, clock out

I started my 88 honda civic dx this morning and all went well. After 5 yards or so of driving I noted the tachometer was stuck at zero, the fuel gauge was slowly falling to empty, the clock was out and all indicators except the speedometer and the batery indicator were out. The cabin lights stayed on, the car drove on all the way to work.
It scared the hell out of me but I made it. Anybody with and Idea could please help me.

Check all the fuses....its a lot faster and easier if u have a voltmeter....you can put it on ohms and lust touch the 2 metal pins that come out the face of the fuse where it says the amperage and if it makes some indication on the voltmeter the fuse is good....a lot easier to do it that way.

Re: Tachometer, Fuel gauge, clock out

maybe the wires just became unplugged from behind the clocks, Id check all the simple things first, like forcefanad said, check all the fuses,.,.,.,.

Re: Tachometer, Fuel gauge, clock out

Thanks for all the tips.
The turn signal fuse was surely blown, I had not realised it was not working too untill later. I changed the fuse and everything came back then this morning I am driving and out goes the whole bunch of indicators plus the signal. I am not sure what is killing the fuse that quick.
