95 blazer window problem

ok, so i go to the atm to get money out and i roll my power driver side window down. went down fine went up fine... went to mc D's drive thru rolled the window down to order about 2 minutes later... i had to get out of the blazer and when i got back in, i tried to put the window up and it would not roll. when i push the button i hear a motor turning and it sounds like its grinding almost. i had to push the window up manually.
first time the window has ever had a problem. before it went up and down smooth.

my question, is the window off track or is it something more?
im going to take the pannel off the door tomorrow and look.

thanks in advance

Re: 95 blazer window problem

good chance its the power window motor. Also look at the wiring at the front most part of the door where it comes from the body to the door it should be in a rubber cover these wires do tend to break.

probably the gear on the motor or the regulator stripped, i have a grand am doing the same thing. sounds like grinding something in the garbage disposal. about 90 bucks if you fix it.

so my buddy and I took my pannel off and immeditaly 2 nuts fall out. we look at the motor and notice that these 2 nuts were holding the motor in place.
this was an easy fix... we put some lock-tite on the nuts and the window works fine now.

i did but a whole new assembly (motor and lift regulator) for $75 from advance auto zone. looks like its going back in the morning.

thanks for all the help
