First, I'm afraid that you do not have 195 hp. I'll give you 12 - 15 TOTAL for your i/h/e. The rims aren't helping you, either. Not hurting too much, but definately not helping. Anyways, GSRs have 160 stock, right? Unless I'm mistake, that's about 175 MAX. Either way, your car runs a mid-15 stock, while the GSX runs a 14.8. Not too shabby at all. It may not be a "smoking", but I think he'll win fairly handily.

are you talking about 160 stock at the flywheel or the wheels? a gsr is rated at 170 but puts down about 150

GSX will do you dirty if hes a good driver...but as a side note, I wish people would race instead of giving us "what if's"...just race him foo. then come tell us...

I'm going to agree with this and disagree at the same time. I think the gsx will take the win but not because he's a good driver. the beauty of having an all wheel drive turbo is that you dont need to be a good driver to win. just hit the gas and go. i guess if the guy mishifts that would be a different story. then he'd be a bad driver and deserve to lose.

yeah 14.8 seems REALLY fast for a stock gsr, should be mid-upper 15's...

Not in 1994...

Also, I have heard of and seen (once, a 14.8, although it was a G-Tech run) unusually good runs in a GS-R with i/h/e where they ran a high 14 or better...seriously, while stock GSX's with excellent launches can get as low as a 14.8 itself, although 15.1 to 15.5 is more common...same as a GS-R

With equal drivers, it will be close. In a short race, the GSX will win with it's excellent launch capabilities, in a race exceeding a quarter mile, the GSX's extra pork will have the GS-R passing it.

But then...all the GSX needs is a good boost-controller...
