Wipers are streaking
For several years now my wipers don't work very well on my 1993 SL2. I've replaced the blades several times, but they just don't seem to do the job that well. They "streak" the water rather than wiping it off as they should. This impairs visibility.
It seems that maybe the blades need firmer pressure on the windshield -- or could it just be greasy? But then again washing it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas? |

Re: Wipers are streaking
do you replace the entire wiper or just the blade inserts? try different brands? I've use Lexor blades for the last four years and have been very happy with them. i replaced the first set after three years, even then i put the old wipers on my work truck. and make sure the wiper fluid is good too, and don't run the wipers dry, rain and wiper fluid help lubricate the wipers. and make sure the streaks are dirt, not small scratches on the windshield.

Re: Wipers are streaking
definitely just replace the whole thing and not just the inserts
