quick muffler question
is the flowmaster 40 series muffler a 2 chamber or 3 chamber muffler? what about the 50 series? a local garage told me a 3 chambered muffler would be best for my 4.3L v6. what would be the difference if i put a 2 chamber or 3 chamber muffler? i want power, but i want it to be loud too.

Re: quick muffler question
Somone correct me if I'm wrong but....
40 series-2 chamber-very loud and deep 50 series-3 chamber-loud and deep would think the 40 would give you more power having less restriction |

MY 40 series is great sounding outside. Inside, it kills me!! When it was first isntalled it wasnt bad at all, now, 2 years later, its frickin' loud inside.

Re: quick muffler question
Well I would go with the 3 then (like your gonna choose to get you warranty voided) but like jeverett said it's gonna get annoying after a while, plus your not going to be able to tell a power difference between the 2. Also you don't want it being too loud being a v-6, just give it a little depth.
The one on mine realy sucks b/c you can barely hear it but I guess that's good with a fam. and all. |
