98 temp gauge problems

Everytime the radiator fans kick on the temp gauge shoots all the way up then goes back to normal when they cut off... any ideas.

Uhm. No.

Sounds like your thermostat is sticking. Try taking off the waterneck and working the spring a couple times. Should fix the problem.
