Ok, so people have said that you cannot change the lights for the 2000 rectangular headlights for the 2002 rounder headlights because the hood... does anyone know if you can cut the hood... or roll it to fit the lights or will the hood still not sit/fit right????

Re: Headlight Conversion-- innovation?
Well, the fenders are the same, so you have a point of reference and know that the turn/marker light portion will fit that space, and I suppose you could notch the hood too. The real trick will be integrating the grille, and I'd say there's a very good chance the actual mounting points for the 02 cluster don't match up with the ones for the 00/01 headlight and turn/marker lights.
Question is, WHY? Brent |

Re: Headlight Conversion-- innovation?
Is it that terrible? Why not sell the truck and buy a 2002 Xterra only for headlights. Sounds crazy? Well so does considering chopping up a hood, painting it, and putting in new headlights because round ones seem to drive you nuts.
Anything can be done given enough money and a good body shop. |
