Auto Transmission

Hello all. My question is about my 94 Prelude Si's automatic transmission. My car shifts with a lurch into the next gear. Someone actually thought my car was a manual because of the way my tranny is shifting. I want to know what I can do about this problem. Can something be done to the tranny? I had heard that some belts or something in the tranny could have become loose. Or am I looking at buying a new tranny for my car? Any help is appreciated.

I should probably also mention that my fluid is still fairly red (not brown). I have been pretty consistent with checking the levels ever since I bought the car but I have a feeling the previous owner abused the car (didn't maintain it).

I think everyone on the board is a manual lover. I probably should have just gone with one too...
