Question how to change 99 brake lights?

hello there everyone! I have 2 questions that so far I've not found the answers to on here, albeit I may be overlooking! Here goes:
1. How to change the brake lights on my 1999 GA SE?
2. What's up with the ABS/Track off lights coming on occasionally? There seems to be no rhyme or reason for it, it happens whenever it feels like it, wet or dry...
Thanks for all help anyone can give!!!

The brake lights are easy. I'm assuming you mean the lights on the tails and not the ones embedded in the trunk. Open the trunk and look for a round plastic disc behind each tail light. Pull the discs out, then pull the carpet back from the rear of the car. You should see 4 black plastic bolts that hold each tail light on. Unscrew these and the whole tail light should slide right out. Then, release the back of the tail light by pressing the black tabs. The back of the tail light should separate from the rest of the housing and the bulbs snap in to the back.

On the ABS/ETS thing, you might have a sensor going bad.

Re: how to change 99 brake lights?

Yes i have a 02 GA (well my dads)...and i had the same exact abs light prob...it turns out i had a bad wheel speed sensor...but the entire hub needed to be replaced....if you go to a dealer or any shop...they can find out which sensor is going bad...or bad....and will give you prices...i did it myself...the part cost...$115 at autozone....but at my dealership is like $185...but that is most likely your problem...
