2000 Chrysler Voyager some of buttons on the heat and A/C panel not working
My 2000 Chrysler voyager has a problem with the buttons on the heat and A/C control panel. Many of them do not work. The fan switch works but the slide switch for the driver/passenger temp control does not respond. I can only get heat from the rear fan slide switch. Also the switch that changes the direction of the heat is not responding. I thought that that the switches might have shorted out because of soda being splashed on them from the cup holders. I can also hear a clicking sound from the left side of the car that sounds like a solinoid trying to make contact and the small amber LED's on the buttons flicker. I checked all the fuses and found none bad. Also this is a on again, off again condition.
Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks |

Re: 2000 Chrysler Voyager some of buttons on the heat and A/C panel not working
sounds like a loose connection at your control panel. Have someone check that out; a loose connection will give you intermittent problems

Do you know what relays control this panel or where can I find a list relays and what they do. Maybe I should buy a manual. |

These control panels are a weakness in these vans. I had the same problem with my '98. I went to a junk yard and found one, but unfortunately, the buttons work, but it shut down my guages, so I had to put my old one back in. I havent figured out why yet. You can remove this panel by taking out two screws at the top and two screws hidden under a little plastic strip above the cup holder; it just pops out. Once you get that unhooked, check your wire harnesses for any burn or hot spots. This will tell you something isnt quite right. The verticle harness is for the fan only. The horizontal wire harness is the one that runs everything else. If you dont see any problems with the wires or the plastic harnesses, then try a replacement unit from a junk yard. If you drive your van there, you can hook it up right away and see if it is any good, saves you from paying for it only to have to return it. Good luck!
