Finally Finished: Lamborghini Countach LP 500S

Well...

This is my first post with pictures, so please be gentle

It's a Fujimi Enthusiast Lamborghini Countach LP500S Walter Wolf 1/24 (great kit).
As I really hated the looks with the Walter Wolf-colors and decals, I painted mine black!

I bought this kit for about 10 dollars, so it had a few minor problems,
some parts were broken and the right door was badly bend (that's why it's opened).

It was a hell of a job to get the body on the chassis, but thank to you guys I succeeded!
Sadly some parts fell out of the engine, when it finally snapped together
(but those parts weren't to be seen anyway).

But most important: I'm happy with it, that's what you're doing it for!

Enough blabla: some pics

(front lid was blown of by the wind)

Look out for the lamppost!

(seatbelt looks a bit weird on picture)

Re: Finally Finished: Lamborghini Countach LP 500S

Looks great. Having the door open kinda works - it gives a good view of the interior. Well done.

Great start!
I've always had a soft spot for the ol' LP500S.
Keep up the good work, I'll look forward to your next car.

I love black Countachs, and yours looks the part.
Is there a problem with the fit of the engine cover?

That's a nice pick for $10, even with the damaged parts. Nice job on the build up.

yup, as i have experienced in different enthusiast kits the fit isn't perfect.
The engine is placed a little too high on the chassis so the engine cover doesn't fit properly.
With a little pushing it would fit perfect, but I don't want to crush the engine.

(in my 'showroom' it is displayed with its nose in front, so I don't see the engine cover)

Even if that kit doesn't fit perfectly, it looks like you did a great job I think! And for 10$!

Re: Finally Finished: Lamborghini Countach LP 500S

Nice! I did the same kit, recommended!
Lots of parts, but I'm proud I pulled it of.

I didn't get the idea the engine is to high up, but in mine the engine cover is too tight and doesn't open.
