Re: Tail light...look at pic really cool

looks like they either put a piece of clear red plastic on the inside or sprayed the inside with clear red paint.

Re: Tail light...look at pic really cool

redcivicracer made the tail lights on my car. they were clear and he painted half red

i do believe he used paint by Testors and it was candy apple translucent paint. i got pulled over because my clear blubs were showing white thru the clear part of the lense, which is illegal as white is for reverse. i used the Testors paint to paint my bulbs red, it worked just as good as the tails.

send redcivicracer a message if you want more info on exactly how he did the red/clear tails. i know it was a process with a couple of steps....or something

LadyNRedSi... I like your tail lights... LOL... (don't read that the wrong way)... they look like old school teg tails only smaller. And yeah, painting the bulbs works just as good.

Re: Re: Tail light...look at pic really cool

props go to redracercivic.

i remeber when he first put them on a few years back....ahh the hostboard days i told him right away that if he ever wanted to sell them to let me know. like 2 years later i hear travis118 is going to buy them. i was bummed. i dunno how but a couple of months later i ended up with them. w00t!

i'll tell you what, i've been pulled over more for those tails than i have been pulled over the years combined. every cop had a different technicality for which i was breaking. i would like to say i finally beat the system with the red bulbs...but i haven't taken the car more than 50mi around town and that was when gta was last here in sept (i think it was)

CONSULT YOUR LOCAL DMV & LAW ENFORCEMENT BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING TO YOUR LIGHTS!!!

Nothing like good ol' old school clear taillights, tape, and testors candy apple red paint and clear coat : )

But thank you for the props Ami, I miss those tails, suprisingly I never got pulled over for them, but they sure looked good!

Re: Tail light...look at pic really cool

I'm still thinking of getting altezzas and painting them with candy apple red. They would look so sweet. And it will blend right in with my red center piece too!

Actually, redracer civic, if you bought more and did them like that on amy's civ, I would seriously buy right off the bat.
