Re: 91 explorer window problems
I have the same problem on my 91. I took the back door cover off and found the cable had broke. I'm currently looking for a new/used motor. I was also told that the motor for the passenger side is different from the drives side. Let me know if you find anything different.

I replaced my front passenger side motor today. It was doing the same thing as yours is doing until it finally went out. The motor wasnt too bad to replace but I did have to drill a hole for the third bolt that holds the motor on. I found a used motor at the junk yard for $35. If you have to replace the front motor, there are three bolts to take off. It wasnt too bad to fix.

mine was from a 92 Explorer. I watched as they got the part. The third hole is marked with an indent. If you have the new motor you can see how they line up. There is one hole on top and another on the bottom. You can see those. The third hole(the one you have to drill) sits about at the 9oclock position. I just replaced the motor. I also had to take the speaker out.
