Get a timing light

If you haven't done this already, The place you are looking for is right beside your gas peddel. Check about 4 inches right of your right gas peddel behind the console. you will see 3 types of connecters. Do NOT mess with the yellow one. That is your air bag, and you don't want that going off in your face. That could hurt. The other two connecters should be should be blue and black. I don't remember which on for sure, but on has 3 wires and the other has 2 wires. The one that you install the jumper in is the on with 2 wires, the 3 wire connecter is your service port connecter to hook a scanner up to. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. My boyfriend found the jumper connector and adjusted the timing. He is now trying to replace the timing belt but hes having problem removing the crankshaft pulley. Do you know an easy way to take it off?

heat up the bolt with a torch, then use a breaker bar to unscrew the bolt.

after a hundred thousand miles or so, the rotation of the crank pulley against the threading of the bolt tends to tighten it up to the point of nearly fusing.

Use 3/4in impact wrench if you can get your hands on one. I have a 3/4 in impact just for the honda crank pulleys. Honda puts Locktite on their crank pulleys. I have tried using a torch and it never worked for me. Maybe you'll have better luck, but an 3/4 inch impact is the best solution.
If you use a torch be careful not to heat the bolt or melt anything. I wish that I could be a little more helpful on this one.

Thanks for the info, my boyfriend did not like the idea of using torch. He said, it could damage the crankshaft seals.

I will try to get a 3/4 impact wrench, they are available at sears. So do I need to have a big air compressor for 3/4 impact wrench? Thanks for the help again.

Re: prelude ignition timing

I used an IR impart...1500 lb/ft of torque i reverse...and its 1/2 inch....IR makes i think the best impacts...way better and cheaper than snap-on's stuff
