Question I'm building an LS/VTEC, what else do I need, please read.

I'm building an LS/VTEC, I WAS going to use my friend's block which is bored and sleeved, top of the block welded shut, copper o-rings, and an external elec. water pump w/Arias 12:1 comp. pistons and stock rods, but since I'm daily driving this engine, we decided to build a different block - NOW it's a LS block w/90K miles (but previous owner took care of engine, the bearings were checked and look great), w/JE 11:1 pistons (made spec. for LS/VTEC), stock rods, B16 head (prep for LS/VTEC), it's basically a stock LS/VTEC w/JE 11:1 pistons, besides clutch what else do you guys think I need? I can't afford better rods now, do you think the stock rods will be fine? I'm replacing (of course) the head gasket and all gaskets and seals. But what else do you guys think I need (I think I definatly need a VAFC)? Please help, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

LS/Vtec is easy, u can jsut your stock engine parts, but you wanna drill oil holes into your ls block though for the vtec oil. On import Tunner issue #25 tells you how to set it up.

Thanks.

AznRide, I appreciate what ur saying but I already know how to build it, the question is, what else should I get besides the pistons, I can't afford rods now, or anything for the head (springs, retainers, cams), I'm mainly wondering what else should I get for my engine? Again I appreciate what u said thanks. Anyone else want to give me some help me decide what else I should get for my motor, thanks?

nice pistons, I know you said that teh cash flow was a little tight but you may want to wait and spring, haha, for the springs and rods. Do you have a Vtec controller? just thought i would ask.
