Anyone got a idea about this problem?
I have had my ranger since 2001 and I have loved it ever since.
But... a few months ago my warranty went up and it started making a loud wub wub noise after 20 mph up to 50 mph. It sounds like the left front tire making the noise and I tried rotating the tires to see if the noise would come from that particular place. The left front tire gets low every so often so I am gonna buy 2 new tires for the front wheels. Anyone got any ideas on what this could be I have seen other rangers drive by and heard the same noise from them but I am not sure if its the tire or the wheel or maybe something with the front axle. At least let me know if anyone can relate to this problem and let me know its not serious before I goto the Dealership and they take 1 arm and a leg. |

First I would put known good tires on.
Second, while you have the tires off to do this, check the bearings. Make sure it is not coming apart. This may be difficult if you have not done this before. All in all, if after putting known good tires on and you still have the noise, have the front bearings checked. If you're gonna look at one, check the other too while you're there. It's worth it in the long run. |
