replacing ignition switch???
I am having problem with igintion in 91 plymouth voyager. when i turn key it does not start, guages come on, but not starter. have been told is probably ignition switch. is it hard to replace swith. i know i need torx tool to get switch out, stupid little pin inside torx head screw. but do i need something else or is it something i'm better off having shop do. also doed anyone have way to start car without taking screwdriver to starter terminals. its hard to get to. i have console off around ignition, is there a way to jump a couple of wires and get it started to take it to shop if i have to. thanks...

replace ignition
I just replaced my ignition switch in my 92 caravan. The Torx screws with the stem in them can be removed by a attachment you should be able to find at any auto store (got mine at Autozone) although the first switch I got there didn't fit. Once it was apart I could force the old switch to start after it was off the column by twisting the metal piece at the bottom. At least that way you can get it to a shop if you don't feel like working on it yourself.
