removing compressor 89 chev blaz 4.3, bolts dont clear pulley wheel
I'm stuck figuring how to remove the air con compressor for replacement (bearings are shot). There are 3 bolts w/nuts, I removed the nuts but bolts will not clear the pulley wheel. Unscrewed nut in middle of pulley wheel...but doesn't appear to help in giving any extra room to pull out the bolts.
Do I lay into it with a hammer? I'm just about ready to, it's the old one anyway, haha...any suggestions? thx ,jf |

I figured it out. It's hard to see with all the dirt, but the bolts have a side of the head filed off. That way you can turn it and be able to clear the pulley on the air conditioning compressor. GL. jf.
