bad shifting 00 gti vr6

I have a 00 vr6 and it shifts like s**t. I have replaced the trans fluid sinse it has 72k. That didn't help. It will shift ok when going slow but somtimes will not even go into 1st without a struggle. It doesn't matter if it is cold or warmed up. double clutching doesn't help either. I've heard that tranny mount's go bad and cause the shifting points not aligning. Anyone know about this or any other solution or suggestions. thanks

Re: bad shifting 00 gti vr6

It might be worth getting a manual to see how to adjust the shifter linkage. It's a bit difficult to try to explain here.

If your clutch is going out it will be difficult to get into gear also.. especially 1st and reverse.
