Hobby Search (1999.co.jp) Issue

Hi Guys,

Just tried to place an order today on 1999.co.jp and was told my credit card is unavailable. Tried it several times and got the same error message everytime. I havent ordered from Hobby Search in a while and was wondering if anyone else was having problems with them?

Would like to get this organised as quickly as possible if anyone has any ideas.

Ciaran

I had this problem with that site last year. I tried three times and each time Hobbysearch said there had been a problem. Then after three times I got a phonecall from my card supplier saying that a company had been trying to use my card and they were inputting the wrong address, they thought I was the subject of fraud, and they had cancelled my card! Took a little while to sort that one out...

I think the way the order form is set up does not allow you to input the card holder's address as you card supplier recognises.

I gave up trying to use them which is a shame as they have some cool stuff on there. Maybe you need to try and order by phone?

Thanks for the reply. Weird thing is I have ordered from them before with the same credit card no problem. I hope there isnt any phone calls about fraud because my fiance will get the call. The credit card is in my name but on her bank account. Think I might have to give up on them I emailed them to see if it might make a difference. Wont be able to ring them either as I am in Ireland it will cost a fortune and I wont take the chance from work. I really wanted to get the two Opel DTMS aswell.

eBay has a lot of kits on a buy now from Hong Kong. They sometimes use paypal. Perhaps they have the kits you want. I've already managed to find a out of production Tamiya Volvo BTCC Saloon for less then what you get charged in the shops.

Worth a look..

I had the same problem with my last order. Left it for a few days and then tried again and it was sweet

Mick, I dont like the idea of Ebay have never used it and to be honest dont think I ever will. I know a lot of guys here use it but I guess its what you feel comfortable with. Thanks for the reply though much appreciated.

Pman, Well b****x to that anyway I went and ordered a couple of kits from HLJ in the end. A Mitsi Evo VII WRC and a Lotus Super 7 plus a few materials aswell as a bday pressie for the boss(my beautiful fiance). The Lotus I had to get it was less then 10 Euro thought it was a bit of a bargain.

Plus on top of that my Mam and Dad dropped up to see me last night for my Bday. My Mam had asked what I would like for a Bday pressie and I told her a kit wouldnt go a miss. Well what do you know they go and buy me two, a Pug 206 2003 WRC kit plus a Jagermeister BMW 320i. I love my mammy. God you would swear I was 15 and not *Cough*27*Cough*. Now which of my new kits will I start after I finish the two on the bench.....
