car problem
When I'm getting low on fuel (say around 10 litres (3 ga) or less) and I'm driving up a hill, my car hesitates. It feels like its running out of gas. The fuel gauge also goes down when I'm driving uphill.
Any ideas of what it could be? I have a 2001 Kia Rio automatic Thanks... |

Re: car problem
Pickup tube/float is loacted in the front of the tank, when you go uphill all the gas goes to the back of the tank.

Re: Re: car problem
Ive had the car for 3.5 years now, and this is a new problem.
I don't mind that the fuel gauge changes when going uphill, its the hesitation in the car that is the problem. How do you think this can it be fixed? Thanks |

Re: car problem
Fill the tank up. Never drive if the gas tank is lower than 1/4. The gas in the tank also cools the fuel pump off.

gas tank baffles
there are baffles in the gas tank which keep the gas from sloshing around im geussing one or more of these broke allowing the gas to move around quickly.
