car problem

When I'm getting low on fuel (say around 10 litres (3 ga) or less) and I'm driving up a hill, my car hesitates. It feels like its running out of gas. The fuel gauge also goes down when I'm driving uphill.

Any ideas of what it could be?

I have a 2001 Kia Rio automatic

Thanks...

Re: car problem

Pickup tube/float is loacted in the front of the tank, when you go uphill all the gas goes to the back of the tank.

Re: Re: car problem

Ive had the car for 3.5 years now, and this is a new problem.

I don't mind that the fuel gauge changes when going uphill, its the hesitation in the car that is the problem.

How do you think this can it be fixed?

Thanks

Re: car problem

Fill the tank up. Never drive if the gas tank is lower than 1/4. The gas in the tank also cools the fuel pump off.
