Unhappy Alarm Problems

Need help. Alarm to my 2001 Chevy Silverado factory install keeps going off intermittently for no reason. Neighbors are so NOT loving it, and neither am I. What can I look for?

Dealer shrugged shoulders and said to come in when their contracted "alarm people" come in (MTTH 8-noon) which makes it hard since I work M-F 8-5. Is there something I can look for myself?
Thanks..

Re: Alarm Problems

I'd look for a short in one of your doors or wires going through your firewall. Maybe dirty ground on your battery terminal. Do you leave your Cel phone in your truck? Sometimes the stronger Cel phones can set alarms off as they are trying to bring a signal in.

I had a problem with an aftermarket alarm on my vehicle always going off. I tried everything, checked connections wires, everything. Once I removed the Cel, no more false alarms. PS-I god rid of the Cel phone too..
