2004 GT Glove Box

The glove box on my car will not open. I can unlock it with the key, but it won't open up. It acts like there is something jammed in it. Does anybody have any ideas how to open it without tearing it up and the dash up?

As well intended as 'Jeff's" comment was (?)- U have a faulty lock on glove box. It's common. I got all the bells and whistles but can't open mine..that was until I simply had it replaced. Time 2 visit either dealer (sometimes under warranty as minor')- and/or see part's shop for replacement. The lock itself does not* have to be brand of actualy Grand Prix which U will definitely pay a "mark-up" on... cheers.~ Mancini~

When you say this is a "common" trouble with GP's. I had to look that one up. It's the ONLY thread on this forum that has to do with that. Also check a couple other forums too. No one had it either.
I liked Jeff's reply. Made me laugh. Also there could have been something jammed in the box. Could have worked.
