CRX vs Lude

Would a CRX with a B16a motor and exhaust beat a 5th Gen Prelude with Intake? Some of the people that i've talked to say the CRX would blow the prelude away. Just wanted some other opinions.

Re: CRX vs Lude

I own a 90 Rex w/ a b16 and I also own a 96 VTEC Lude - my Rex would beat my Lude, but not by much, so it's up to the driver.

note: My Rex has all the bolt-ons and...flywheel, clutch, pulleys, Mugen chip. My Lude is stock except for SRI.

I doubt it had a b16 - h23's and b16's put out the same: 160 hp, and a 4th gen Prelude weighs about 1000 lbs more than a CRX.

i doubt a crx weighs 1800lbs. so saying that 1000lbs extra weight on a 4th gen is stretching the truth quite a bit. i've heard a 4th gen is slightly lighter than a 5th gen, and my 5th gen weighs 2850lbs with an almost empty tank with the spare still in the back, no weight reductions and me not in the car.

Its all about power to weight ratio; just calculate.

You're right - I was estimating the approximate weight difference - off the top of my head I think I remember -

CRX=2150lbs
4th gen Lude=2950 lbs

Those aren't exact numbers - just appoximate weights I remember researching for reference a long time ago.

yeah there is no fucking way a CRX is even close to 1000lbs lighter, id say 500-600 is more realistic

crx for sure it weighs nothing. I have a friend with a crx that runs 10 psi i wouldn't dare race him at the moment. He'll have is time

i wouldn't put my my n/a lude up against any car boosting 10psi, even a geo metro, well, maybe a geo, but still, how can you even compare?
