Re: Re: Vr4 Baby
Also expect to be doing the 60k very soon and keep in mind other maintenance costs. Maintenance gets expensive on vr4's

That's a pretty good deal. I paid $10K for my SL with about 66K miles.

Re: Re: Vr4 Baby
Timing belt, water pump, tensioner pulley, etc. I know there is more but cant think of it all. If you go to a dealer expect to shell out as much as 1200

Re: Vr4 Baby
my 60k mile tune up was 1500 but i got i think like 15% discount and that brought down the price about i think 1350. Make sure it goes in every gear good at hight rpm and look under the car and see if there is any tranny leak. The best thing to do is to take it a local dealer and they usually do it for free or its like 30 bucks and they check everything and make sure everything is fine.
I think thats a good deal. Good Luck |

Insurance should not go up.
A loan on a 94 car will not go more than 3 years. I can almost guarantee that. Good luck with paying a 14,000$ car off in 3 years if ur 16 - 21. That's what? 388$ a month? WITHOUT APR which would be up above 8 for sure on an old car like that. Don't do it. It isn't worth it. I had a 99 3000gt sl that i bought with 35,000 miles on it when i was 17. I traded it in 1 year later with 42,000 miles on it for a 98 vr4. Now that put me in debt because of the previous loan. Let's just say I was paying around 600$ a month on a car payment. I was 18 years old and had a PART time job at a restaraunt making 9.50$ an hour because of a promotion. I could afford it, but not a whole lot else. Good Luck. Btw, my sl was 388$ and that is doable...so don't take what i said wrong, but if u owe on ur current car...ur in for some debt. |

Re: Vr4 Baby
Insurance WOULD most likely go up. Its a high hp car. And I can easily get a loan for 4 years or maybe even more on a 94 car. You just have to know where to go.

Re: Vr4 Baby
Seriously, the best advice I can give you is to hold off a bit until you are sure you can afford it...I thought I could afford one...I took out a loan, combine that with insurance, my rent, my tuition, gas, living expenses, my bills are over 1200 a month, and that isn't what you want to be paying when you are a student...so seriously MAKE SURE YOU CAN AFFORD IT.
