Final 4G?

has anyone seen the final design for the 4g eclipse if not

it looks like a 2g a 3g and a celica had a baby... personaly i think that if they would just bring back something like the 2g with a bit of different body kits and maby a bit more passenger room... + a turbocharged inline or V-6 option... that would be AWSOME! can we petition mistubishi for a them to bring back the old body style?

Those pics have been out for about 8-9 months now. Personally I can almost gaurantee they will never make another turboed eclipse. Mitsu has the Evo for speed, why would they make another turbocharged car when most people today are looking for an economical car.

You can petition all you want but it will probably never work. There is not that big of a market for it right now.

i dunno man... back when they were new they were affordable sports cars... the evo is 40 grand the current high end eclipse is like what 26? but alot more can afford that... and i mean... ya i know they will never come back but they were awsome back then

Yeah, the pictures of that car have been out for atleast 9 months now... The original concept pics have been out for over a year, here is a thread were I posted a link to the pictures (November 2003) ...That makes it 1yr 2months.


BTW: Its not a concept anymore, its being produced now.

i'm still a noob! omg! this concept was just shown in the 2005 NAIAS! how can the pics be out for at least 9 months! you are thinking of the 2004 naias concept. And yes these are final concept pictures.

Car is NOT in poduction yet. out of factorys 05's are still being pump.

look on the 2006 mitsu web site. click auto show schedual on the bottom. it shows the first showing of the car was in LA on January 7th 2005. on that window that pops up click view autoshow web cast, you can see the launch anocement on VIDEO.

I never said the pictures from the car show have been out for 9 months... I said the pictures of the car has been out for 9 months!

I know far from all... But when people tell me I dont know what I am talking about, I then turn around and prove you wrong! That pic you just posted has been out for over a year and the other pics (current look) came out about 4-5 months after that thru spy's.

Another thing... they started production 1-03-05, the release date is August 2005... So therefor it is no longer a concept car. I know people who work for mitsu and I have a lot of connections through them... I have been very interested in this car and I have been researching it since there was talk about a 4g! Right now I have my name on the first one that comes into Minneapolis/St Paul, MN (refundable deposit). I like what they have to offer and I am currently working with my boss to make and sell the first turbo and supercharge kit for it. I know a lot more than you think I do so dont open your mouth if you dont know or you think you know.

i like the final prototype much more then the first concept i still dont like the headlights though. the side view look kinda like a 2g. i just wish it was awd turbo and about 40g's cheaper.

I basically want to see what it has to offer, take it on a good test drive/beating. I dont mind the looks, of course they could have made it look better but its still an eclipse! If it performs good I will probably end up buying it and writing it off for my work.

Anyways while we are on the topic of new cars coming out... I cant wait until the R34 Skyline is produced in 2007 I'm putting money away for one as we speak!

I thought that was just all but talk and plans, nothing serious, from Nissan. Are they really going to release one in US? I mean ive heard all about it, but i didnt think it was true.

Oh yea the final car would have been better if it kept the 470 hp mark (or however much it was with the hybrid) and the cool looking side exhausts. It still looks like a family/pussy sports car than a real sports car IMO.
