F22 / F22a6?

Is there a difference in the two, i have read about owners on here with the sam gen 4 ( 93 ex here) and used both dsescriptions about there engines, but i thought honda used the same engine throughout generation 4.

as far as i know, there is the f22a1 and the f22a6. f22a1 is on the 90-93 dx and lx models. f22a6 is for the 90-93 ex model. there is a difference of about 5 horsepower in the two motors, with f22a1 at 135, f22a5 at 140. most of the time all you need to say is f22 motor because the parts are all the same.

accords do not come with h22's. Accords are built with f blocks. the h22 is out of the prelude, and just to let you know there isnt an accord type r, at least not in the US. And another thing: honda didnt start making f22a6 motors with 150 hp until after 94. all 4th gen accords have 140hp.
