Question PRimer sanding

if i sand my primer to 800, will to be to slick for the ground coats of color not stick properly? or sould i take it down to 600? or could i just use a adhesion promoter?

btw im going to be using duplicolor metalcast to paint a moped.

thanks!

Re: PRimer sanding

800 wetsand is just fine. I've sanded much higher before, with no problem. But going higher than 800 wet is pointless, unless it needs it.

Re: PRimer sanding

I dont really use adhesion promoter much, unless its plastic. Usually epoxy primer, K36, base, clear.
