2.0 load felt for others?

when i put anything on in my car there is a differnce with the idle( well you feel the engine is differnt) I never had a 4 cyl before is this normal? I brought it a while back to autozone and they said all is fine(I put a new battery in when I bought the car but I have always felt the difference before and after the battery)

noticeably with lights and heat on or lights and a/c. Is it normal for this little car?

Do you mean power loss and the idle seems to be "rougher"? Yes,that is how all my Escorts are.

My Escort does it, too when turning on the heater blower or the headlights. Common, thing..AC really pulls it down.

Re: 2.0 load felt for others?

yeah, I got stock alt, when at idle my lights dim a little, but my engine doesn't change one bit. I mean, sure when the a/c comes on the idle drops for a second, but comes right back up, just like my Bronco (v-8) used to do. But my idle is never rough, except in some cold cold mornings, but 30 seconds later its fine.
