electrical

1979 450SL mercedes. I put a new battery in. I only drive the car about once a week, but when I go out the battery is dead. I recharge, and as long as I drive it every day (or start it) the batter stays charged. The alternator is good, but there is obviously a drain somewhere. could the ground or connection to the starter be bad? there is nothing on in the car.

Re: electrical

connect a ammeter inline with the neg cable. pull fuses untill the drain goes away. check a wiring diagram to see if anything else could be drawing thats not fused.

Tried the ampmeter. pulled each fuse. there is a 10 volt draw from somewhere that is not fused---the draw did not go away after pulling each fuse.
