suspension
i have a problem with my camry 2000 4 cyl.
i can hear a rattling sound on the front suspension system whenever im in a bumpy road. but when i pavement is smooth no sound is heard until can somebody pls tell me his opinion where which part of the system should i replace. is there a site wherein i can learn about suspension systems and how they work? thank you |

This is most commonly caused by the strut mounts. These are the round pieces that are at the top of the strut tower. Sometimes, when they go bad, they make this rattling noise, and also, when they become a little loose they make that sound as well. When our Camry began to make this noise, what I did was tightened the front struts up a bit, and the noise was gone.
