Does the Civic 1.4 iS (4 door) have any special???
a friend have just bought a 98' (japan-made) Civic 1400cc iS, 4 door; does the "S" means something special? or just a false trim/"sport hope" (like the Charade GTX). The suspension looks a little harder than usual, and the engine should we outputtin' like 100 hp's, but we don't know more about it.
ah!, and it's possible to replace the disc/drum configuration for the disc/disc ??, needed to replace the original brake lines? or only the rear drums for the discs? thanks, greetins'

here in north america we have Si models, the "S" originated from the 83 1500S which was the Sport model, then in 85 when honda started producing fuel injection motors they had the Si which stood for Sport injected. i assume that the JDM iS is just reverse as part of the translation from japanese to english. the 1.4l motors were not available in north america i don't think. do you have an engine code off it. it might be related to some of our motors.
